Mobile Communications - KDDI to Launch Handsets with Built-In TV-Tuners

KDDI plans to start marketing mobile phones with built-in television tuners in the middle of June 2005. The handsets used are Toshiba's A5511T and Sanyo's W32SA. Television programming will be placed in the upper portion of the display, while the lower segment will be reserved for broadcasting companies to run banner advertisements.
